Van Gerwen with a big loss against Clayton in PL

Wim Blokpoel - Last thursday it was time for judgement night. Night 9 of the 2021 Premier League Darts and Dutch star Van Gerwen took on Jonny Clayton.

It was a horrible start for Van Gerwen who struggled at the doubles in his own leg and got 0-3 down. Both held legs twice and it was 2-5. Van Gerwen had to break to keep a chance to win but Clayton hit a 14-darter and got 6-2 up. It was almost a 7-2 win but MVG took his last chance and made it 3-6. However, a 15-darter from the ferret and a 3-7 defeat for MVG. Still a lot of time to recover, the PL will continue on the third of may.
