The Netherlands beat Brazil at World Cup of Darts
Wim Blokpoel - Last night the 2022 PDC Cazoo World Cup of Darts started in Frankfurt.
Michael van Gerwen, wasn’t playing for the Dutch team as he’s recovering from surgery. Because of that, the Dutch Darting Duo Danny Noppert and Dirk van Duijvenbode are waving the flag for team NL.
The Netherlands took on Brazil in round 1: Diogo Portela and Artur Valle. Noppert hit the double in leg 1, as The Netherlands held throw in 15 darts, while Van Duijvenbode found double 10 for a break of throw and 2-0 lead. Brazil got chances to break back, but missed doubles as it was 3-0 for Holland! Another break of throw made it a 4-0 lead, and with a 14-darter to hold it was a 5-0 whitewash win for Noppert and Van Duijvenbode. Into the last 16, where the Dutch Duo will take on Ireland’s William O’Connor and Steve Lennon tomorrow.
