Noppert reaches the semi-finals of the World Grand Prix

Wim Blokpoel - Tonight Danny Noppert played Ian White in the quarter-finals of the 2021 Boylesports World Grand Prix. Once again Noppert started amazing and won the first set 3-0! Still without having lost a set this tournament ‘The Freeze’ got into set 2. Here White started great and took a 2-0 lead. However, Noppert fought back to 2-2. In leg 5 White held throw amazingly in 12 darts as it was 1-1 in sets. Noppert started set 3 and it was another 2-2 in legs. This time Noppert ended it great: a 14-darter saw him go 2-1 up and 1 set away from the semi-finals. A set later it was 1-1 in legs again. But here the double trouble started. Both missed multiple darts at double. But Noppert won it and at 2-1 he had the throw for the match. He got 1 chance on 86: 18, 18, BULLSEYE!!!!!! A magnificent finish from a magnificent player as Danny Noppert reaches his second ever PDC tv ranked semi-final! Tomorrow night he will take on either Clayton or Ratajski for a chance to make both the Grand Slam of Darts and his very first PDC tv ranked final!
