Noppert comfortably beats Van der Voort at WGP

Wim Blokpoel - Tonight we had an all Dutch clash in the last 16 of the 2021 BoyleSports World Grand Prix! Danny Noppert played Vincent van der Voort!

In set 1 Van der Voort started comfortably with a 2-0 lead. However, Noppert decided to wake up and made it 2-2! Eventually he also held throw as ‘The Freeze’ won the first set 3-2. In set 2 Noppert started with a 130 finish! This time it was him who got 2-0 up, althought VVDV also fought back and made it 2-1. Leg 4 however was won by the man from Joure as he took a 2-0 lead in sets. Noppert now was 1 set away and this was 1-1 when Van der voort got darts for 2-1. He missed both darts at double 20 and Noppert made 2-1. The man from Purmerend held throw for 2-2, but in the deciding leg Noppert was way ahead, but VVDV suddenly started scoring. Noppert missed 1 dart ar D11 but Van der Voort didn’t came close at finishing 134. D11 was hit, and Noppert won the game 3-0 in sets! He goes into his second ever PDC tv ranking quarter-final, having already made the semi’s of the 2018 Players Championship Finals. Noppert plays Ian White now, a repeat of the 2019 World Series Finals quarter-final! This match will be played tomorrow evening.
