Maik Kuivenhoven holds his tourcard

06-02-2021

Wim Blokpoel - Today Australia’s Kyle Anderson confirmed he gives his tourcard away. The 2017 Auckland Darts Master made this decision, after a very tough year in which he suffered from the corona virus and wasn’t able to play the tournaments in the PDC. This year, he’s expecting another child, so he decided that he wants to stay in Australia with his family and gives his tourcard away. After Harry Ward did the same, this means now the world number 66 ranked can keep his tourcard as well, which is Dutchman Maik Kuivenhoven! Maik had a great 2020, but 2019 wasn’t good enough for him, so he narrowly lost his tourcard, which he saves now! Maik had a great year in which he reached a Eurotour quarter-final, beat Michael van Gerwen twice at pro tours, and made his debut at 3 big majors: the Players Championship Finals, European Championship and World Championship. Hopefully 2021 will be a good year for Maik, and we hope he will manage to get into the top 64 this year, as he is not defending that much money from 2019.
