Jules van Dongen qualifies for WDF World Championship

Wim Blokpoel - Last night the 2021 WDF Seacoast Open was played. The winner of this event in the United States automatically goes to the 2022 WDF World Championship in Lakeside.

Dutch American Jules van Dongen, our monthly guest, reached the last 32 with 2 very comfortable wins. In this round he edged out Bryan Langley 4-3. A 4-1 win over James Faulk saw Van Dongen go through to the quarter-finals! Here he whitewashed Peter Stewart Jr. 4-0! In the semi-finals the Dutch Dragon played Jason Brendan. After going 1-4 down it looked like it was over, but Van Dongen fought back and eventually won it 5-4! Into the final he played Kevin Luke for a place at the WDF Worlds! Another comeback was needed as he got 2-4 down, and another comeback came! A 6-4 win and a place at the 2022 WDF World Chanpionship for our monthly guest Jules van Dongen! Congrats to him!
