Gian van Veen wins ODLL Week 4

Wim Blokpoel - This week the Modus Online Darts Live League included 3 Dutch players: Gian van Veen, Arjan Konterman, and Davy Proosten!

In group A, they all played great, especially Van Veen who managed to top the group and go through to finals night just after 2 days! Konterman and Proosten went into group C. There, Proosten went out but Konterman managed to finish 2nd, above Kai Fan Leung on leg difference, to scrape through to finals night as well where we now had 2 Dutchmen!

In finals night, Konterman first took on Scottish talent Nathan Girvan, but was edged out 3-4 by Girvan. In an all Dutch clash, Van Veen then edged out Konterman 4-3 which means Konterman was knocked out. Van Veen then averaged 96 in a 4-2 win over Girvan, hitting 5 180’s in 6 legs!! Into the semi-finals, GVV played against Lakeside finalist Thibault Tricole, who he beat 4-1 to reach the final of this week, and secure his spot in champions week! In the week 4 final, Van Veen once again took on Girvan who he once again beat 4-1! An amazing live league debut for Van Veen, who wins the week and we’ll see him back next week in Champions Week!
