Comfortable win for the Netherlands at World Cup of Darts

Wim Blokpoel - Today the 2021 Cazoo PDC World Cup of Darts started. The Netherlands were represented by World Number 3 Michael van Gerwen and World Grand Prix finalist Dirk van Duijvenbode. In round 1 they played Denmark with Niels Heinsøe and Andreas Toft Jørgensen. It was a tough start as Denmark got 1-0 up but the Netherlands fought back with 2 very tough legs which where narrowly won to go 2-1 up. From this moment MVG and DVD woke up by winning legs in 14, 15 and 13 darts as they got a 5-1 win! An average of 92,4 and into the last 16 where the Netherlands will play against Singapore with the legendary Paul lim and Harith Lim. That game is gonna be played next saturday!
