18-12-2021

Wim Blokpoel - This afternoon the final of the 2021 JDC World Championship was played in Ally Pally. Bradly Roes from the Netherlands took on former BDO World Youth Champion Leighton Bennett.

The 17-year old Roes had a slow start in the first to 5 match, as he saw himself go 2-4 down. Bennett had a load of matchdarts, but missed a total of 15 (!!!!) matchdarts, while the 17-year old Roes from The Hague managed to hit his first matchdart to win the final 5-4! The Loxley player is the new JDC World Champion, being the second Dutch player to ever win it, after Jurjen van der Velde. Roes will also play in the semi-finals of the WDF World Youth Championship, where he could meet Bennett in the final again!
