9 Dutchmen already qualified for 2022 World Championship

Wim Blokpoel - As the last Players Championships have been played now, the pro tour top 32 for the 2022 PDC World Championship is announced.

4 Dutch players had already qualified for it, as they are ranked in the world top 32. Highest ranked Dutchman Michael van Gerwen will try to make it 4 World titles, as Dirk van Duijvenbode makes a third appearence in Ally Pally, having made the quarter-finals last year. Danny Noppert has also qualified, for the 4th consecutive time. And Vincent van der Voort, two-time quarter-finalist, will even make his 15th consecutive appearence!

5 more Dutchmen made the pro tour top 32, as they will start against international qualifiers in the last 96. Raymond van Barneveld ended 3rd, having won a pro tour at the start of the year, so the 2007 PDC World Champion will return to the Palace. Martijn Kleermaker ended 8th, and will make his debut, having had to with draw because of covid last year. Maik Kuivenhoven qualified as well, and will try to get a first ever win in the event, as Ron Meulenkamp joins them as well. Finally Jermaine Wattimena ended 27th and has just secured his place for the 8th time in his career.
